Rektor is arguably one of the best streamers we use when targeting brown trout. Tied with Grizzly Olive fibers in the tail along with gold tinsel, a body covered in olive cactus chenille, and grizzly hackle wraps. The head is hot orange. -

This is a fly with the same colors but with a few modifications, based on a fly I’ve used a lot called Ece Spade. That fly has probably given me the best brown trout fishing I can remember, so it’s a big favorite of mine. I made a few updates, and it’s fair to call this version the “little brother” of the ES. The fly is weighted, tied on a strong SE hook with black and brown hackle in the tail, along with silver flash. The body is black chenille with a holo wing.
